   Biography

I am a Spanish researcher who received my PhD in 2016 from Alicante University (Vertebrate Zoology Research Group) in Spain. I first worked in Spain with rescue centers for Iberian raptors. After that, I worked with Harpy Eagles (Harpia harpyja) in Panama and also in Ecuador since 2000. I have also been involved in creating new protected areas for indigenous and Afroecuadorian people. The project has continued with tagging and tracking Harpy Eagles with GPS satellite transmitters, tagging Coragyps atratus using a GPSR system, using falconry to control other fauna and rehabilitating injured raptors. Here is a link to a video showing some of our rehabilitation work. video.
