   Biography

Peroth Balakrishnan earned a Ph D. from Sálim Ali Centre for Ornithology and Natural History/Bharathiar University for his study on Grey-headed Bulbul, an endemic to the Western Ghats.

   Research Interests

Conservation biology, behavioural ecology and evolutionary ecology. Specific interests include ecology and conservation of threatened and fragmented populations of birds; wildlife–habitat relationships, human and climate change impacts on the population demography and life-history strategies of birds and other vertebrates.
